The estate, including the Grade I Listed Doddington Hall and other historic buildings, is to undergo a major transformation. The aims and objectives of this long term project is explained in broad outline in the masterplan.

Aims & Objectives

The aim is to re-establish this rural estate, to stimulate sustainable business and leisure activity and to restore Doddington Hall and other significant buildings.

Key objectives will include:

  • Re-define the rural estate – to be self-supporting economically
  • Find a new use and restore Doddington Hall
  • Bring back into use significant buildings and sites
  • Develop new housing on a number of small sites around the estate and at Woore to help facilitate the restoration and conversion works
  • Encourage new business and leisure activity on the estate
  • Create new employment opportunities
  • Encourage sustainable living and working through “green” development and the use of local resources
